  • Manuella D.

  • Elle F.

  • Natalie W.

We're making a GratiTUTU!

We're turning thankfulness into a classic dance garment this month! How it works: Students will have an opportunity in class to write or draw what they're grateful for on a special piece of paper. We'll showcase our thankfulness in style at the studio (and will share for family and friends)!

Fa-La-Lollies: Last Call for T-Shirts!

Our annual holiday concert--the Fa-La-Lollies--is just around the corner and preparations are underway! The Fa-La-Lollies will be held on Sunday, December 12th, at 1pm at T.E. Middle School. If you have placed a ticket order, your tickets are ready for pick-up and can be paid with cash or check. (Tickets are $15 in advance/$18 at the door.)

If you would like to get a t-shirt for your performer, please place your order by Wednesday, November 3rd. Click here to place your order:

Costumes are on their way! (Please note: costumes must be paid for before performers may take them home.) If your child's class is bringing their own costumes (for example: holiday jammies and dresses), we'll reach out soon with a date to bring your items in to show your teacher.

Not signed up yet? Click below and get ready to dance, sing, and be merry with us on December 12th at the Fa-La-Lollies!

REMINDER: Follies Recital Agreement and Costume Forms Due!

Our annual concert, the BDSOPA Follies, will be taking place this year on Saturday, June 18th, at the Haverford School! The Follies is a fantastic opportunity for all of our performers to show off their hard work over the school year, and is a highlight of the spring for all who participate and attend. Unless otherwise noted, all classes prepare a dance for this recital.

Follies Recital Agreement and Costume Forms are due on Monday, November 1st. You can find this form by clicking below or stop by the office to pick up a copy. Parents are responsible for measuring their child for costumes. If you need help, let us know!

Payment for costumes is due along with the Costume Form. It is essential that we order costumes well in advance to ensure that they are made--and delivered!--in time for our performers. You may pay for costumes this year with cash, check, or credit/debit card.

The Follies will take place on Saturday, June 18th at the Haverford School. We will have a dress rehearsal at the Haverford School on Friday, June 17th.

All Treats, No Tricks: BDSOPAHHH Halloween Week!

BDSOPAHHH Halloween week was such a blast! We enjoyed seeing everyone's costumes at #booatthebarre in class, and enjoyed seeing friends go toe-to-toe with themed group costumes.

We topped it off with our first-ever Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and had so much fun! Major shout-out to our Raising the Barre students for their help planning and overseeing the festivities, and a huge thanks as well to our crew of Trunkers who decked out their cars and doled out copious amounts of candy. Check out highlights on our Instagram at @bdsopa!

Bring a Friend to Dance Class!

We're extending our usual "Bring a Friend" month from September through November! Any week through the end of November, you're welcome to bring a friend to join a dance class for free.

Here's how it works:

  • Bring a friend to dance class! (Make sure you sign them in) OR

  • Spread the word and make sure your friend lets us know that you sent them.

  • When your friend registers, you'll both receive 50% off of one dance class for your friend's first month!

You can share this discount with as many friends as you like and stack your savings up to one month of class tuition. Dancers must be new to BDSOPA in order to be eligible for this referral program.
