Brianna Hughes

Brianna, originally from Downingtown, Pennsylvania, began dancing at the age of 5. She trained in several styles including, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and irish step. Her passion for dance continued as she started teaching and choreographing at the age of 16 for her local studio. After graduating high school, Brianna pursued a dual major in architecture and photography at Marywood University. She continued dancing throughout college on her university’s dance team. She became captain her sophomore year and maintained that position until she graduated in 2022. With this title she choreographed team dances in several different styles including jazz and pom for the basketball games, as well as lyrical, contemporary, modern and tap for the spring showcases. After she graduated, Brianna came back to the Philadelphia area and continued teaching hip hop, jazz, and combo classes. This year she cannot wait to continue her passion for dance by teaching here at BDSOPA!
