Betsy Daily School of Performing Arts Rules and Regulations

All new Students interested in company must audition.

All selected Company Members must have a recent physical -- signed and dated form from your doctor. You may use PIAA forms.

Participation

1. Students must attend Saturday rehearsals as scheduled.

2. There will be two (2) excusable absences allowed. When a student is absent he or she is responsible for learning what they have missed.

3. Students must be available for all competitions and performances.

4. Workshops and Conventions are encouraged for Dance Company Members.

5. Participation in fundraisers is encouraged to supplement the extra costs of costumes and accessories.

6. Notify Studio as soon as possible if there is an excusable reason for not attending, as soon as possible

Costs

1. A registration fee of $75.00 is required of all students in company. This includes the $25.00 class registration fee.

2. Cost of Saturday or called rehearsals is $10.00 per student to pay for teacher’s time and studio utilities.

3. Median cost of costumes per number is $100.00. All alterations to the costumes are an extra charge and payable by the parent. Additionally, undergarments may be required.

4. Competition fees ($25.00-$35.00 for group numbers and $40.00-$80.00 for solos)

5. Additional Costs for extras: shoes, hairpieces, stockings, accessories, undergarments, make-up or caboodle cases with necessary supplies are extra costs and the responsibility of the student.

Required Attire

1. All Dance Company Members must have the following dance items:
Betsy Daily Jacket
Betsy Daily dance bag

2. All Dance Company Members should have a black Mirella Leotard 201L for all workshops, rehearsals, photos, etc.

3. All Dance Company Members must have a Dance Kit that includes
Mode Dion Make-up
Duct Tape
Bunheads Sticky Strips or equivalent
Safety pins
Hair pins and bobbed pins
Hair nets

4. Undergarments may be a necessity for costumes or practice. They are the responsibility of the Dance Company Member. Undergarments should be acquired and fixed as instructed.

1. Current schedules will be posted.

2. Please be sure to check schedule and announcements concerning rehearsals, activities and practices

3. All competition, workshops and performance dates and information will be posted as soon as the dates are available.

Company Member Responsibilities

1. Company Members must keep physically fit (smoking and Drinking are not permitted at any time)

2. Company Members must have good attendances record in all required classes. If a student does not have a good attendance record for any reason they will be dismissed from company; but they may remain enrolled in regular classes.

3. Company Members must behave properly at all dance performances, workshops, and competitions. This is to preserve the image of the Betsy Daily School of Performing Arts. Sportsmanship, responsibility to others, and focus on your art is what the studio is striving to accomplish through our experiences.

4. Punctuality to all classes, rehearsals, workshops and competitions is expected. Absolutely no tardiness.

Criteria

The following criteria must be met to participate in Dance Company Groups:

JUNIOR SENIOR MEMBERS:

Summer Classes and/or camp encouraged

Tap Routine

Minimum 2 Ballet, 2 tap classes

Ballet Routine

Minimum 2 Ballet

Jazz Routine

Minimum 2 Ballet, 2 jazz

Modern Routine

Minimum 1 ballet, 1 modern

PETITE OR NEW MEMBERS:

Summer classes and/or camp encouraged

1 Ballet, 1 Tap, 1 Jazz- prefered
or

1 Ballet, 1 Tap

1 Ballet, 1 Jazz

More classes may be taken if desired
